How to Make Saline Water
Saline water contains a concentration of sodium chloride (NACL), or table salt. This concentration is usually measured by weight. A moderate saline solution is three to ten parts per million (ppm). Saline water is used to clean mucus from the nasal passages to allow sinus medicines to work better. It also cleans allergens and irritants, removes bacteria and viruses, and decreases swelling of nasal passages. A saline solution can be used to clean wounds and replace fluids lost due to excessive sweating or diarrhea.Things You'll Need
