How to Put a Bandage on an Eye
Eye injuries are serious and need to be treated properly to avoid complications including losing your vision. Cover a punctured, cut or burned eye with a bandage before you seek medication treatment. Doing so will keep further damage from occurring in the meantime. Even after treatment, a doctor may suggest that you wear a bandage on your eye until it is fully healed.Things You'll Need

1
Inspect the eye for any bleeding or impaled objects. If there's something noticeably stuck in the eye, avoid applying an eye pad as this can cause further damage. Instead, cover the eye with a paper cup to work as a shield.
-
2
Place a sterile eye pad on the closed eye.
-
3
Apply a piece of medical tape over the eye pad, starting from the middle of the forehead and running diagonally to the jaw. This angle is optimal for keeping the eye pad secure while allowing you to move normally.
-
4
Repeat this process with the other eye. Even if only one eye is injured, it's often recommended that you cover both eyes to avoid involuntary eye movement.
