How to Waterproof a Cut on the Bottom of the Foot

      Wash the bottom of your foot thoroughly with antibacterial soap and water. Dab the cut dry with a clean paper towel or tissue. Apply a small amount of antibiotic gel or cream to the cut.

      Select a waterproof bandage that covers the skin cut entirely. You can purchase waterproof adhesive bandages at a pharmacy or medical supply store. Waterproof bandages come in all shapes and sizes so ask the pharmacist to help you select the best bandage.
