How old is a child when it gets its first tooth?
Most children start to get their first teeth between the ages of 6 and 12 months, but some babies may get their first tooth as early as 3 months old or as late as 18 months. The bottom front teeth are usually the first to appear, followed by the upper front teeth. Teeth usually come in pairs, with one tooth on each side of the upper and lower jaws. By the age of 3, most children have a full set of 20 primary teeth.
