You are 35 weeks pregnant and occasionally hear tiny bone like cracking sounds in your stomach is this the baby trying to move around?
The "cracking" sounds you are hearing are most likely the popping sounds of your ligaments and joints shifting and realigning to accommodate your growing baby. As your belly expands, your body releases relaxin, a hormone that loosens the ligaments in your pelvis and other joints. This allows your baby to move around and descend into the birth canal. The cracking sounds are simply the noise of these joints moving. While not typically a cause for concern, there are some instances where cracking sounds could indicate a problem. If the sounds are accompanied by pain or discomfort, or if they are persistent and getting worse, it is best to mention it to your doctor or midwife for evaluation.
