Will medicaid pay for your 14 year old Braces?

It depends on the state you live in and your family's income. In some states, Medicaid will cover braces for children under the age of 19 if they meet certain criteria, such as having a severe orthodontic problem or being in foster care. In other states, Medicaid does not cover braces at all. You can contact your state Medicaid office to find out if braces are covered for your 14-year-old.

If Medicaid does not cover braces for your child, you may be able to get help from other sources, such as your employer-sponsored health insurance, a dental savings plan, or a government program like CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program). You can also talk to your dentist about payment options, such as a payment plan or a discount for paying in full.
