When you try to put the tampon in why does it slide back out?

There are a few reasons why a tampon might slide back out when you try to put it in.

* The tampon is not inserted correctly. The tampon should be inserted into the vagina at an angle pointing towards the small of your back. If it is not inserted at the correct angle, it may not be able to stay in place and may slide back out.

* The vagina is too dry. Tampons need to be moistened before being inserted to help them slide into place. If the vagina is too dry, the tampon may not be able to create enough friction and may slip back out.

* The tampon is too large or small. Tampons come in a variety of sizes. If the tampon is too large, it may not fit snugly in the vagina and may slide back out. If the tampon is too small, it may not provide enough coverage and may not be able to stay in place.

If you are having trouble keeping a tampon in, try the following tips:

* Relax your muscles. Trying to force a tampon in can actually make it harder to insert. Relax your muscles and take your time.

* Use a lubricant. If your vagina is too dry, you can use a lubricant to help the tampon slide in more easily.

* Try a different brand or size of tampon. Some tampons are more comfortable than others. Experiment until you find a tampon that fits well and stays in place.

* If you are still having trouble keeping a tampon in, talk to your doctor. There may be an underlying medical condition that is causing the problem.
