Is it normal to spot two days before your period and have a 2-3 day period?
Spotting before your period and having a short period are both common occurrences and are usually not a cause for concern.
Spotting is light vaginal bleeding that occurs outside of your regular menstrual period. It can happen before your period, after your period, or between periods. Spotting is usually caused by hormonal fluctuations, which are normal during the menstrual cycle.
A short period is defined as a menstrual period that lasts less than 3 days. Short periods are also relatively common and are often caused by the same hormonal fluctuations that can cause spotting.
However, if you are experiencing any changes in your menstrual cycle that are accompanied by other symptoms, such as pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, or irregular periods, it is important to see a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying medical conditions.
