It is normal to have brown discharge during your period, especially at the beginning or end of your menstrual cycle. This discharge is usually made up of old blood and tissue that is being shed from the lining of your uterus. It can also be caused by changes in your hormone levels.

If you are concerned about the color or consistency of your discharge, it is always a good idea to talk to your doctor. They can help you determine if there is an underlying medical condition that needs to be treated.

In the meantime, there are a few things you can do to manage your discharge:

* Wear panty liners to absorb the discharge.

* Change your panty liners frequently to avoid irritation.

* Wash your hands thoroughly after using the bathroom.

* Avoid using tampons or menstrual cups if you have brown discharge, as these can irritate your vagina and cause more bleeding.

If you have any questions or concerns about your menstrual cycle, be sure to talk to your doctor.
