How do you know what your period looks like?
Menstruation, also called a period, is the normal shedding of the lining of the uterus through the vagina. It usually lasts for 2 to 7 days. The blood that is shed is not usually bright red. It is usually darker in color and may contain small clots. The amount of blood that is shed varies from woman to woman. Some women may have a heavy flow, while others may have a light flow.
The best way to know what your period looks like is to pay attention to it each month. You can do this by keeping a menstrual journal. This journal can help you track the length of your period, the amount of blood that is shed, and any other symptoms that you may experience, such as cramps, headaches, or mood changes.
If you are concerned about the appearance of your period, you should talk to your doctor. They can help you determine if there is anything to be concerned about.
