Should you take your tampon out when swim use the restroom or go to sleep?

When to take out a tampon

* You should remove your tampon every 4 to 8 hours, even if it's not full. Leaving a tampon in for too long can increase your risk of toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a rare but serious bacterial infection.

* You should always take out your tampon when you go to the bathroom.

* It is also recommended that you remove your tampon before going to bed. This will help prevent TSS and will also make it easier to sleep.

How to take out a tampon

1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
