1
Floss your teeth each day Hold a piece of floss between your fingers wrapping the ends securely. Start with the farthest back tooth. Begin by pushing the floss at an angle between the gum and tooth surface. Remove wedged debris by repeating this motion for each tooth. Submerging the floss into mouth rinse first or moistening it and then sprinkling it with baking soda will also help to make it more effective. Flossing will help to keep your gums healthy and your teeth intact and caries free.

Using toothbrushes and dental rinses help prevent cavities Choose a toothbrush with a medium to firm surface. Selecting a brush that is too soft may lead to a less than perfect result. Look at all of the types of dental toothpaste on the shelf. Picking one with fluoride or whiteners can help to harden the enamel of your teeth or brighten them.

Regular checkups at the dentist are important Use a good dental rinse after brushing. Adding this step in your oral hygiene program can greatly improve your results. Visiting the dentist is also a great way to keep your smile cavity free.
