1
Brush your teeth with a toothpaste recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA) and floss between your teeth with dental floss to remove any chunks of food that may be lodged there.
-
2
Pour the manufacturer's recommended amount of fluoride mouthwash into the product's lid and drink it into your mouth, but don't swallow.
-
3
Keep your lips tightly closed, and swish the mouthwash around in your mouth for at least 30 seconds, or the amount of time recommended on the product's label.
-
4
Expel the mouthwash into a sink. Do not eat, drink or smoke for at least 30 minutes after using the mouthwash for the most benefit.
