Floss at least once daily:
Dental flossing is essential when trying to reduce plaque and cavities. Flossing is almost as important as brushing is because flossing prevents plaque from building up between your teeth and strengthens your gums. If you want beautiful pink gums then flossing is a must. Choose floss or dental tape that is right for your mouth. Some flosses are wider than others and some glide through your teeth easier. A cavity between teeth can lead to two cavities so flossing is twice as important.

Use Toothpicks:
Tooth picks are often handed out in restaurants after a meal. They are a great way to get large particles of food off of your teeth and reduce the build up of plaque. Toothpicks may not be as efficient at removing plaque from between your teeth but they are good when you don't have access to floss and they are more fun to use.
