  Rinse dentures thoroughly with water. It is important that the dentures be completely clean. Do not dry them.

  Rinse mouth with water. It is also important that the mouth is cleansed. A washcloth can be used to swab the gums to further clean them.

  Apply the adhesive of choice to the plate of the dentures.
