Cut your food into bite-sized pieces. Chew carefully, up and down. Chew on both sides of your mouth, as chewing on one side might dislodge the dentures on the other side. Brush your false teeth twice a day. Introduce food such as apples gradually, as you might find these difficult to manage. Peel the apple first, and cut into quarters.

Drink liquid when eating bread, so it does not become doughy and stick to your dentures. Do not hold liquids in your mouth before swallowing. Avoid food that is too hot as your dentures will cause your mouth to be less sensitive.
