Home Denture Liners

When dentures start to slip and slide, sore gums are usually the outcome. Denture gels and paste can be gooey and messy, and even uncomfortable. Denture liners may be your best option, lining the dentures and then adhering to your gums to avoid slipping.
  1. EZO Denture Cushions

    • EZO Denture Cushions offer a "vacuum" grip for loose dentures. These denture liners are odorless and mess-free. These denture liners are made of corn oil, food color, paraffin wax and pure cotton flannel.

Simply rinse the cushion in warm water until it is soft. Place the cushion onto your dentures and smooth into grooves. Trim them with scissors. Place your dentures into your mouth and hold for two minutes. To clean, rinse your liner in cold water then in warm water, and then put back on the dentures. These liners can be reused.

    Snug Denture Cushions

    • These cushions are meant to shape around loose dentures until you are able to see a dentist for refitting. Place the cushion over the denture and shape it into the denture. Trim with scissors as necessary. The edges should overlap slightly for added comfort.

These should only be used temporary, as denture liners such as these may cause faster deterioration, causing dentures to fit even worse.

    Denture Liner Use

    • Denture wearers will always notice a little change in fit as gums begin to deteriorate. This is a condition that should be addressed by a dentist. Denture liners are strictly for making ill-fitting dentures fit properly until they can be refitted and reconstructed.

As mentioned above, the gums may deteriorate quicker if you attempt to use these for permanent use. After prolonged use, dentures might not be able to be used if the gums have deteriorated too far.
