To have secure dentures you need to know that going the cheap route is not the best route. If you don't have dentures as yet, but are planning to get them it pays to go for quality. There are millions of denture wearers all over the world who will attest to this.
Go to a dentist you trust or a referral from someone who has been there and done that. The fitting process can be a long one with many impressions being made, but that's okay this is where patience will really come in handy.

For those who already wear dentures and they are not secure dentures then there are options. There are many adhesives on the market and can be good for a quick fix until you can get dentures adjusted. Strips or wafers are the easiest, but cost more. Powder works well and cleans up easy. Paste is messy and leaves a bad taste.
Many people say it's a matter of personal preference. It may be a good idea to experiment and try several denture adhesives one at a time. If you do not have dental insurance and can't afford to have dentures adjusted then you may need to use denture adhesives for a longer period.

Use a denture liner kit as another option to secure dentures. You can buy them online or off. The liner is made of soft silicone and will conform to the denture. The liner will last for 3-4 weeks depending on care of the teeth. It is easy to apply, but may be hard to get off.
Consider denture suction cups. This is similar to a reline except that it consists of tiny suction cups that hold the denture in place. The procedure is done by the dentist and can be done in a day. Ask your dentist for details.
