How to Replace the Teeth in Dentures
Until recently, if you broke a tooth or teeth off your dentures, the entire denture would have to be sent back to the dentist and/or lab for repairs. This would mean days without your dentures, ruining your appearance and keeping you from eating solid foods. With the advent of home repair kits, you can easily fix broken teeth on a denture on your own.Things You'll Need

Steps to Repair Broken Tooth on a Denture
-
1
Examine the entire denture to ensure there are no structural breaks to the body of the denture. Observe the broken or lost tooth area and pick the appropriate size and type of replacement tooth to serve as the substitute tooth.
-
2
Grind a V-shaped groove if there is a fracture in the body, prior to replacement of missing teeth. Fill the V-shaped groove with resin material, letting it harden. Once completely set, add additional liquid monomer to smoothen and even out the resin to the rest of the denture's surface. Let set for the designated amount of time, according to the directions on your resin material.
-
3
File away any remnants of the missing tooth still located on the dentures, being careful not to file into the denture acrylic material. Take the fitting replacement tooth and file away the sides, top, and bottom to ensure proper size, fit, and appearance to replace the missing tooth.
-
4
Place a little bit of the bonding adhesive to the empty space and position the adjusted replacement tooth into the space. Lay a piece of wax paper between the replacement tooth and the adjacent tooth. Apply powder polymer to any and all empty areas between the space and tooth, packing in securely; add liquid monomer to the powder to create the acrylic structure.
-
5
Use the emery paper to smooth out any roughness, and add a small amount of liquid monomer to complete the smoothing out process. Immerse in warm water for 10 minutes to set. Remove and polish with a toothbrush and denture toothpaste.
