What is a venuole?

A venule is a small blood vessel that carries deoxygenated blood from capillaries back to the heart. Venules are part of the venous system and are typically formed when several capillaries join together. They are generally larger than capillaries and have thinner walls. Venules play an important role in the circulation of blood and the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between tissues and the lungs.
