How do you get ink pen to work?

If the pen has a removable cap with a metal clip:

1. Unscrew or pull off the pen's cap. Some pens have a threaded cap, while others have a snap cap.

2. Check the ink cartridge or refill. If the cartridge is empty, it needs to be replaced. If the pen is refillable, you can add more ink to it.

3. Gently shake the pen to mix the ink. This will ensure that the ink flows smoothly.

4. Press down on the pen tip and start writing. The ink should flow out onto the paper.

If the pen has a retractable tip:

1. Press the button or slider on the pen to extend the tip.

2. Check the ink cartridge or refill. If the cartridge is empty, it needs to be replaced. If the pen is refillable, you can add more ink to it.

3. Gently shake the pen to mix the ink. This will ensure that the ink flows smoothly.

4. Start writing. The ink should flow out onto the paper.

Here are some additional tips for getting an ink pen to work:

- If the pen is new, it may have a small piece of plastic covering the tip. Remove the plastic before trying to write.

- If the pen is skipping, it may need to be cleaned. Dip the tip of the pen in a small amount of rubbing alcohol and wipe it clean with a cotton swab.

- If the ink is still not flowing, the pen may be out of ink. Replace the cartridge or refill the pen.
