Is CSR Cemintel fiber Cement Compressed Sheet harzardous to health?

CSR Cemintel fiber cement compressed sheets are composed of cement, cellulose fibers, silica, and water. The cellulose fibers are made up of natural wood fibers and are treated to make them resistant to moisture and heat. The silica is used to increase the weather resistance of the product and to enhance the mechanical strength. The sheets are manufactured using a compressed sheet process, which involves combining and then pressing the ingredients to form the desired shape and density. The production process and the composition of the sheets comply with Australian Standards and meet the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission's (NOHSC) criteria for hazardous substances. CSR Cemintel fiber cement sheets are not considered hazardous to health when handled and installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. However, it is always recommended to follow general safety precautions when working with construction materials, such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling and storing the sheets in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
