How to Repair Teeth Fillings
Dental fillings are comprised of special material that dentists use to protect and cover the inner parts of teeth that are decayed and plagued with cavities. Fillings are put in so that they will remain in the teeth permanently; however, sometimes they become loose. If they become loose, ideally you need to contact a dentist immediately to get new fillings. If it will be awhile before you can make a dental appointment, keep in mind that it is possible to put in your own temporary fillings that will last until you can get to the dentist's office.Things You'll Need

1
Brush your teeth with toothpaste and a toothbrush and then floss. Make certain that your teeth are clean with no food particles in the mouth.
-
2
Purchase some dental cement from the local drug store or pharmacy. Get one or two containers of it depending on how many cavities you have.
-
3
Put on latex rubber gloves. This is important because if the dental cement gets onto the skin of your finger, it can be difficult to wash off.
-
4
Squeeze a large amount of dental cement from the tube onto your latex glove-covered finger. If uncertain as to what constitutes enough, always squeeze more than you think you will need.
-
5
Place the dental cement onto the tooth cavity. Put the cement over the tooth and push down gently. Hold the finger there for a few seconds to make sure that the cement adheres to all parts of the tooth.
-
6
Clench the teeth and hold them together for at least three minutes. This is done so that the dental cement will have a chance to fill in the cavities. There should not be any pain or discomfort accompanied with this.
-
7
Allow sufficient time for the dental cement to set and harden. Do not eat or drink anything for at least one hour. If at the end of one hour the dental cement does not seem to be filling the cavities, wait an additional two hours before eating or drinking.
