DIY Plaque Removal

Knowing how to remove plaque from your teeth is crucial to your oral and overall health. You may recognize plaque as the white filmy substance that forms on your teeth, primarily after eating. What this buildup actually is, is bacteria that begins regenerating itself as soon as it is removed. When left untreated plaque can turn into a harder coating called tarter. Plaque and tarter can lead to periodontal disease and have been directly linked to diabetes and heart disease. Consistent, prompt removal of the gum irritants will substantially decrease your chances of developing these problems.
