How to Care for a Partial Denture

Now that you have received your new, removable partial denture, you'll want to take good care of it. Knowing how to properly care for your denture will prolong it's life, saving you money in repairs and replacements. Establishing a daily cleaning routine is key to maintaining a strong and healthy chewing surface and your overall dental health.

  • Denture case
  • Soft-bristled denture brush
  • Mild dish washing soap

      Remove your partial denture as you prepare for bed.

      Rinse your partial thoroughly with warm water. Apply a small amount of mild dish washing soap directly to the partial. Brush gently with a soft-bristled denture brush to remove any food or plaque buildup.

      Rinse the partial to remove any remaining soap.

      Fill up your denture case with water and denture cleaning solution, diluted according to manufacturer instructions. Soak your partial denture in the solution over night.

      Remove your partial in the morning from the denture case. Rinse well with warm water, and re-insert into your mouth.
