How to Glue a Tooth

It is possible to glue your tooth or dental work back in as a temporary solution until you have it fixed by a professional. Although dental work, such as a crown, can help protect and repair your tooth as well as enhance your smile, accidents happen and it could get knocked out. When you fix your tooth temporarily, make sure you are doing it properly. Do not use an ordinary glue, as this could not only harm your tooth, but be harmful to your general health.

  Try to insert the dislodged part of your tooth back where it was. Go to the drugstore. Look for a dental fixative that is used for dentures or a dental cement that could be a bit stronger. You will see a multitude of options in the dental section of the store to repair your tooth temporarily.

  Put a small amount of the glue onto the piece of dental work that came off. Put the crown back onto the tooth. The glue is temporary and will only last for a day or two. It may come back out while you eat or drink.

  Carry a tube of the dental fixative with you, just in case it comes loose again.

  Call your dentist and make an appointment to see him as soon as possible.
