1
Fill a sink with water or place a towel down on the countertop in case your dentures fall out of your hands while handling or removing them. Dentures are expensive and fragile.
-
2
Gently remove the dentures over the sink or a towel. Rinse the dentures with plain water to remove any loose food or debris. Use a denture toothbrush, if possible, and brush the teeth with either a mild soap or a denture cleaner. Do not use toothpaste. Toothpaste is too abrasive for dentures. According to qualitydentistry.com, some people clean dentures using dishwashing soap or hand soap.

3
Place the dentures into a cup or bin of water and denture solution if you take the dentures out overnight. Replace the solution every night and rinse the dentures in the morning before putting them back in your mouth.
