Dental Schools in Indiana With Free Dental Care
-
Indiana University School of Dentistry
-
The IU School of Dentistry is the only accredited dental school in Indiana. The school does run a clinic in which dental students provide care under the direction of licensed dentists. While these services are not entirely free, they are offered at prices far lower than those charged by private dental clinics.
The clinic treats children, adults and disabled individuals. It also accepts a limited number of orthodontic patients each year, and an emergency clinic is available for those who are in pain and need immediate care.

IU Northwest has a dental education program for training dental hygienists and dental assistants. Their accompanying clinic offers the services that these professionals would normally provide in a private dental setting, including examinations, cleaning, x-rays, dental sealants, fluoride treatment and dental hygiene instruction.
These services are not entirely free, but are offered at significantly reduced costs and are performed under the supervision of licensed professionals.
