How Do I Get a Good Denture Fit?
If you wear dentures, you know that sometimes it can be a hassle to get them to fit correctly. Usually, time solves this problem. As long as you care for dentures properly when they are out of your mouth at night, they should start to feel more comfortable after a few weeks. But if your dentures are starting to slip and feel less stable after you've had them for a while, it might be time to start discussing your options with your dentist.Instructions

1
Give your dentures time. If you just received new dentures, try to give them a few weeks to fit properly in your mouth.

2
Schedule an appointment with your dentist if you've waited a few weeks and decide that your dentures are not a good fit. Your dentist will need to reexamine your remaining teeth, jaw and overall bone structure to make sure the denture you have is the best fit for your mouth. He may also decide to take a new impression of your mouth to compare to your dentures.

3
Follow up with your dentist at least once a year. Over time, your jaw can shrink and you may need to be fitted for new dentures. Your dentist can detect this problem.

4
Keep your dentures moist. When dentures dry out, their shape can change, and that will affect how they fit in your mouth. When you remove your dentures at night, place them in denture cup provided by your dentist and make sure the cup is filled with water.
