Dental health for children is a major issue in the nation especially for children living in poverty. According to the Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Denistry, 40 percent to 50 percent of children will be affected by tooth decay before the age of five. Access to dental care is a major concern and affects a large number of children in the country. According to the Oregon Department of Heath, oral disease is a serious issue for poor residents of Oregon. Union Labor Health Foundation Grant

The Union Labor Health Foundation Children's Dental Angel Fund has grants for children in need. The foundation was established in 2001 to provide services to youth and youth groups in Humbolt County California. The foundation provide small grants to individuals for expenses relating to the immediate dental needs of a child. Social Service agencies may submit a fund request form for a child who needs urgent dental care. Request forms and applications are available at the site address. For high urgency situations, applicants are advised to call the foundation.
