How to Use Peridex

Peridex is a prescription mouth rinse that is used to treat inflammation of the gums and bleeding caused by gingivitis. The active ingredient in Peridex is an antibacterial chemical called Chlorhexidine gluconate. Peridex should be used under the care of and in combination with regular professional dental cleanings and dental checkups.

Instructions

    • 1

      Brush your teeth using your normal toothpaste or a toothpaste prescribed by your dentist.

      Rinse toothpaste out of your mouth with water.

    • 3

      Floss your teeth with tooth floss.

    • 4

      Put 1/2 ounce, or an amount prescribed by your dentist, of Peridex in your mouth. Swish the Peridex around your mouth, being careful not to swallow any of the product.

      Spit the Peridex out of your mouth into a sink.
