How to Treat Periodontitis

Periodontitis is an inflammation around the tooth that is often confused with gingivitis. Gingivitis is an early warning sign of periodontitis, a much more serious problem that may result in tooth loss if left untreated. Periodontitis is marked by teeth appearing longer as the gums recede, with teeth not appearing to fit next to each other. You may also have bad breath and experience bleeding when you brush.
