What material is used with endodontic spots?

Endodontic posts, also called root canal posts, are often made of metal, such as stainless steel or titanium. These posts are used in the reconstruction of endodontically treated teeth — teeth with damaged or diseased pulp. The post strengthens the tooth and provides support for the crown or bridge that is used to restore the tooth's function.

In some cases, fiber-reinforced composite resin posts can be used instead of metal posts. These posts are more flexible and may reduce the risk of root fractures, but they may not be as strong as metal posts.
