When the orthodontist put spacers in does it bleed?
Here are some tips to help reduce bleeding when spacers are placed:
- Rinse your mouth with warm salt water several times a day.
- Avoid brushing your teeth too vigorously around the spacers.
- Use a soft toothbrush.
- Avoid eating hard or crunchy foods that could irritate the gums.
- Take an over-the-counter pain reliever to help relieve any discomfort.
If you have any concerns about bleeding after spacers are placed, be sure to talk to your orthodontist.
