1
Wash your dentures with water and make sure that they are completely dry and clean. Brush your teeth with a toothbrush and toothpaste to ensure a very clean surface for installation.
-
2
Apply a very thin layer of powdered denture adhesive over the upper part of the denture and shake off the excess. The upper part is the surface that rests against the inside of your mouth, not the side that the tongue touches.
-
3
Position the dentures in your mouth so the metal clasps are lined up with the teeth they will mount on. Make sure the denture teeth are in the appropriate gaps between your natural teeth.
-
4
Press the dentures into your mouth to engage the metal clasps. Use your tongue to help make a secure contact between the denture and your mouth.
-
5
Let the adhesive set for 10 minutes before eating or drinking. If your specific adhesive recommends waiting longer, then you should do so.
