How to Remove Super Glue from Dentures
Things You'll Need
- Dentures
- Nail polish remover containing acetone
- Cotton swab
- Warm water
- Mild soap, such as dish detergent
- Cup
- Denture brush
Instructions
-
-
1
Soak a cotton swab in the nail polish remover. Do not use the acetone-free variety, as the acetone is what aids in removing the super glue.
-
2
Rub the saturated cotton swab over the areas of super glue on the dentures. Press hard, and move the swab back and forth. This will weaken the glue, and it may begin to loosen.
-
3
Rinse the nail polish remover off the dentures using warm (not hot) water.
-
4
Soak the dentures in a bath of warm, soapy water for several hours. Use a denture brush to scrub the remaining glue off.
-
5
Clean dentures using your normal routine once the glue has been removed.
