How to Send a Sonicare Toothbrush for Repair

Sonicare electric toothbrushes are covered by a two-year guarantee on the materials and workmanship. As with any electronic device, failure may occur over time due to the corrosion of electrical components. It is important to note that the guarantee does not cover removable portions of the brush such as the brush head or UV light. It is also important to note that the warranty does not cover misuse or abuse by the user.

    • 1

Ensure that the Sonicare toothbrush is malfunctioning as a result of faulty materials or workmanship. These are the only two aspects covered by the warranty. If the brush was dropped, mishandled or abused in any way, the warranty is void.

    • 2

Ensure that your brush head or UV light is not damaged. Brush heads and UV lights are not covered under the warranty.

    • 3

Locate your proof of purchase and ensure that you purchased the product within the past two years. Sonicare requires the original receipt as proof of purchase, but you don't need the original packaging. Without the receipt, you are not eligible for warranty coverage.

Contact the customer care center at 800-682-7664 to find out what you need to do to make a warranty claim and ship your product (if necessary).

    • 5

Make note of the shipping address and requirements. The company handles each problem on a case-by-case basis, so the shipping requirements and procedures may vary depending on where you live and what type of problem you are experiencing with your toothbrush. In some cases, you may not even have to send the toothbrush to receive a replacement. In this instance, all you need to provide is a proof of purchase. In other cases, you must send the unit --- the company may or may not provide you with a shipping label and package to do so.

    • 6

Drain your battery completely by turning the unit on and off until it no longer starts when you turn it on.

    • 7

Mail your device in for repair, if required.
