How to Use a Sonic Care Toothbrush
According to family dentist Dr. Mark Burhenne, electric toothbrushes are more effective in removing plaque than regular toothbrushes, given the same amount of time. They are also extra helpful in removing teeth stains. Dentists Samantha and Theodore Cho recommend the Sonicare toothbrush to their patients for its "effectiveness, comfort, durability and ease of use." While all Sonicare brushes operate in the same way, there are different sizes and brushes for adults and children.Things You'll Need

Preparing Sonicare Toothbrush
-
1
Align the brush head with the toothbrush handle by matching up the bars on the inside of the head with the notches on the inside of the handle. Screw the head on clockwise until it's fully tightened.
-
2
Place the assembled toothbrush onto the charger base with the front of the brush facing forward. The bottom of the toothbrush handle should be securely and complete stuck into the base of the charger. The charging indicator light will come on. Let the Sonicare toothbrush fully charge for 24 hours before the first use.
-
3
Wrap any unnecessary excess cord underneath the base where there is extra storage space.
Brushing With Sonicare
-
4
Remove the Sonicare brush from its base and squeeze out enough toothpaste to cover the bristles of the brush.
-
5
Put the toothbrush in your mouth, placing the bristles at the beginning of your gum line and at a 45-degree angle.
-
6
Hold the handle lightly and press the on button on the brush. Move the brush bristles gently in a circular motion over your teeth. The brush will stay on for two minutes, the minimum recommended time to properly brush your teeth. Spend at least 30 seconds each on the outside top teeth, inside top teeth, outside bottom teeth and inside bottom teeth. Press the on button again for more time.
