1
Twist the bottom of your Pulsar counterclockwise to break the battery compartment seal. If you cannot do this yourself, use pliers for extra torque. This requires a lot of strength to force the seal to snap. The compartment is not designed to open easily.
-
2
Remove the plastic covering to expose the battery. Once you have broken the seal, the compartment should easily slide off. If you meet resistance it could mean that you have not fully broken the seal and will need to twist the compartment more.
-
3
Remove the battery from the compartment. You may have to bend the contact away from the battery end carefully with your pliers. Bend the contact metal only as much as you have to in order to loosen the battery enough to pull out. If you bend too far, the contact will not touch the new battery properly.
-
4
Insert the new battery in the same position as you found the previous battery. Make sure you take notice of which way the battery was initially positioned, which end is positive and which end is negative.
-
5
Push the contact back into place. If you bent it too far and it is now not touching properly, attach a small piece of aluminum foil onto the end of the contact so that your Pulsar will properly function.
-
6
Replace the battery cover by twisting clockwise. If you notice it is really loose or not staying on properly, use a thin seal of hot glue to hold the two pieces together.
