How to Remove Brown & Yellow Stains From Kids' Teeth
Instructions

1
Request an overnight vital bleaching kit from your dentist. The dentist will prescribe a 10 percent carbamide peroxide gel solution and make a custom tooth mold tray for application. The hydrogen peroxide breaks down the molecules that make up the stain. This makes them a lighter color but may not completely eliminate the stain depending upon the severity.
-
2
Squeeze the gel into the tray making a line from one side to the other. The custom tray will spread a thin layer of the gel onto the teeth. Do not overfill the tray. More whitening solution will not work faster, but it could cause damage to the gums.
-
3
Place the tray in the child's mouth and press it into place. This needs to be done two times daily.
-
4
Leave the tray in place for a period of 30 minutes to two hours depending on the severity of the staining.
-
5
Remove the tray after the allotted time. Thoroughly rinse the tray with warm water.
-
6
Apply a line of 2 percent neutral sodium fluoride solution from one end of the mouthpiece to the other. This solution is used to treat resistivity that occurs during teeth whitening. Leave the solution in place for 15 to 30 minutes.
-
7
Return to the dentist for a checkup after the treatment is complete. The whitening will last up to 12 months and should be repeated as needed.
