Proxabrush Replacement Tips

The proxabrush, a brand of interdental brush, offers users a way to make sure the areas around dental appliances get cleaned thoroughly. The tips reach around braces, permanent retainers and bridgework. These areas often don't get completely clean with regular brushing. Different proxabrush tips offer a way to clean behind or around just about any dental work or appliance. The tips snap on and off the brush, making switching between different styles quick and simple.
  1. Cylindrical Tips

    • Cylindrical tips come in standard and ultra-fine styles. These styles come in three sizes: tight, moderate and wide. The size refers to the space between the teeth and gums. Therefore the tight size would be smaller to allow it to fit between teeth that are more tightly packed together. Wide tips are larger so they still provide adequate contact to the teeth and between the gum line. The standard style works well for removing food and bacteria between dental work and teeth. The ultra-fine style can fit between the teeth and gums, providing a cleaning similar to that of flossing. An antibacterial, nylon coated version of the standard cylindrical tip offers antibacterial protection of the bristles. This reduces bacterial buildup on the tip. The nylon coating protects restorative dental work from scratches.

    Tapered Tips

    • Tapered tips provide a different shape that may fit more easily into certain areas than the cylindrical tip. These tips also come in tight, moderate and wide sizes. Tapered tips come in standard, ultra-fine and nylon coated. The nylon coated tips offer the same benefits as the cylindrical nylon tips: antibacterial protection and reduced risk of scratching dental restorations.

    Go-Between Ultra Tips

    • These tips are very fine and slim, making cleaning between most, if not all, teeth possible. These may be used in place of flossing. These tips can also clean around dental appliances and restorations.
