Hydrofloss Replacement Tips

The Hydro Floss oral irrigation system comes with four standard jet tips, but additional tips are available. The replacement tips perform different functions than the standard tips. The Hydro Floss system differs from standard oral irrigation systems in that it uses magnets to reverse the polarity of the water ions. This purportedly inhibits bacteria's ability to adhere to teeth, thereby reducing plaque and tartar.

  1. Regular Jet Tips

    • Regular Jet tips come with the Hydro Floss system, and each tip is color coded. You can order additional regular tips when the original tips wear out or if you need more for additional users. The regular tips clean along the gum line and can remove some bacteria and debris slightly under the gum line as well.

    Sulcus Jet Tips

    • According to the manufacturer, the Sulcus jet tips can irrigate and deliver medication up to five to six millimeters below the gum line. Patients can use these tips at home. These tips come in sets of four, with color coding.

    Pocket Pal Jet Tips

    • The Pocket Pal jet tips also reach five to six millimeters below the gum line. These rubber tips provide massage and stimulation to the gums, which promote circulation. These come in sets of four color-coded tips.

    Hydro Flex Cannula Tips

    • The Hydro Flex cannula tips provide a deeper reach, six millimeters or more below the gum line. The tip is straight, but it can be bent to a permanent angled shape. These tips can irrigate or deliver medication.

    Hydro Flex P-5 Cannula

    • The Hydro Flex P-5 cannula tips irrigate and deliver medication between five to seven millimeters below the gum line. These tips are made of angled plastic.
