How to Take Care of Teeth Bridge Made of Plastic
Teeth bridge, or a dental bridge, is made up of false teeth. It is used to fill in where tooth loss has occurred. Dental crowns are made for the teeth on either side of the missing tooth to help anchor the false tooth into place. There are three types of bridges. The Maryland-bonded bridges are made of plastic teeth bonded to metal. They normally cost less than traditional dental bridges made of ceramic or porcelain and fitted to metal.Things You'll Need

1
Brush your bridge at least twice a day or after every meal. Take special attention to the false teeth to prevent gingivitis or tooth decay.
-
2
Floss teeth and bridge at least twice a day to remove tartar and plaque from teeth. Tartar buildup leads to gum disease and may result in serious damage to gums and to internal organs, if left untreated.
-
3
Use a medicated mouthwash to fight germs and bacteria that may hide in bridges. The medicated mouthwash will also help in the areas where it is difficult to get to with normal brushing and flossing.
-
4
Cut back on sugary drinks or snacks. Sugar erodes enamel on teeth and may cut down on how long your bridge will last.
-
5
See your dentist for regular checkups so he may examine your bridge to make sure it is fitting properly. Proper fitting helps the bridge to last longer.
