Tips for Troubleshooting the Sonicare FlexCare Plus

The Sonicare FlexCare Plus is an electric toothbrush that cleans using Phillips' patented sonic technology. The toothbrush's vibrating action aims to reduce plaque that can cause gum disease along the gum lines. The toothbrush comes with a UV Brush Head Sanitizer that helps keep bacteria off the toothbrush. As with any electronic device, the Sonicare might require some troubleshooting to keep the toothbrush working.
  1. No Vibration

    • Make sure the handle on the toothbrush vibrates. Place a brush head on the handle and turn on the toothbrush. If the handle doesn't vibrate, it might not be fully charged.

    Proper Use of the Buttons

    • Look to see whether you are pressing the correct button on the toothbrush's handle. The toothbrush's mode button does not operate the device. Press only the power button to operate the toothbrush.

    Proper Connections

    • The brush head must be seated securely on the handle for the brush head to vibrate. Remove the brush head from the handle and try connecting it again. Set it on top of the handle with the brush head facing forward. Push the brush head down until it clicks securely in the handle.

    Charging

    • Insert the bottom of the toothbrush's handle into its charging base. The charging base must be plugged into a GFCI-protected wall outlet. A series of lights on the toothbrush's handle will illuminate after it is fully charged. It can take up to 24 hours for the Sonicare to be fully charged.
