Brush your teeth when you wake up and before you go to bed. Use a toothpaste that contains anti-plaque and anti-tartar agents.

    • 2

Eat spicy foods. Spicy foods cause your mouth to increase its production of saliva which promotes healthy gums, fights tooth decay and removes plaque buildup.

    • 3

Apply vitamin C directly to your teeth. Rub tomato and strawberry juice on your teeth and let the juice soak for five minutes. Wash the juices off with warm water and baking soda.

Rub an orange peel directly on to your teeth before you go to sleep. Leaving the peel on your teeth overnight will cause your teeth to be exposed to more amounts of vitamin C and remove more plaque buildup.

Eat an apple one hour after eating a meal.

Use homemade mouthwash. Mix 1/2 cup of baking soda to 1 cup water, add 1 tsp. of aloe vera gel and 4 tsp. of vegetable glycerin. Add 10 drops of lemon essentials to the homemade mouthwash and mix well. Use regularly to remove plaque buildup.
