How to Remove the Head on an Oral-B CrossAction Electric Toothbrush

Oral B's CrossAction Power Whitening toothbrush is a battery-powered toothbrush designed to gently remove plaque and stains from the surface of teeth through vibration. The toothbrush is powered by a AA battery and features a replaceable head with antimicrobial protection lasting up to three months. Replacement heads for the CrossAction Power toothbrush can be purchased at drugstores and easily replaced by the owner.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the toothbrush securely in one hand or place it on a flat surface. Remove the bristle cover.

    • 2

Position the Quick Release tool over the neck of the toothbrush, aligning the target symbol on the tool with the small opening on the toothbrush's neck. Press the Quick Release tool into the opening. The Quick Release tool is included in the replacement head packaging.

    • 3

Slide the Quick Release tool up toward the bristles of the toothbrush and remove the head.

    • 4

Position the replacement head parallel to the neck of the toothbrush and slide the replacement head into the neck until the two pieces lock together. You will hear a clicking sound that will indicate the replacement head has been connected properly. Do not insert the brush head at an angle.

    • 5

Change the brush head when blue indicator bristles fade halfway or every three months, Oral B suggests.
