How to Use an End-Tufted Brush
The end-tufted brush, also called a single-tuft brush, picks up where your toothbrush leaves off. Mounted on an ordinary toothbrush handle, the bristles of the end-tufted brush are fewer than in a standard toothbrush, which gives it the ability to fit into tight spaces. As a floss alternative, the angle and formation of the end-tufted brush makes it an optimum-cleaning tool for anyone who has orthodontic appliances, implants, crowns, wisdom teeth or bridgework and has difficulty cleaning in between their teeth.Things You'll Need

1
Brush your teeth with your usual toothbrush and toothpaste just as you normally would. Rinse your mouth with water to remove toothpaste and loose particles from your teeth.
-
2
Insert the end-tufted brush into your mouth after rinsing. Slide the bristles of the end-tufted brush into the space between each tooth and give the handle a jiggle. The jiggling will loosen food particles stuck between your teeth.
-
3
Hold the end-tufted brush so that the tips of the bristles are horizontal to your gum line and spread open. Use a downward sweeping motion to direct loose food particles away from your gums.
-
4
Slide the end-tufted brush in between your teeth and orthodontic appliances, bristles wide open. Agitate the brush handle back and forth to loosen food particles.
-
5
Guide the end-tufted brush bristles over hard-to-reach wisdom teeth and molars. Press the bristles against the teeth to spread them open and use a rotating motion to clean.
-
6
Clean the areas of your mouth where implants meet your gum line using the spread bristles of the end-tufted brush. Use circular motions to remove trapped food particles.
-
7
Rinse the end-tufted brush with water after use. Rinse your mouth with water after brushing with the end-tufted brush to remove debris.
