1
Go to your dentist. The dentist will evaluate you for the purchase of Opalescence PF and the whitening system mold--a tray for your teeth.
-
2
Use the included syringe to put a small amount of the paste across the inside front of the molded trays for top and bottom teeth. Do not use more than one third of the syringe.
-
3
Start a timer or notice the time on your watch for the length of time you plan to keep the trays in your mouth.
-
4
Brush your teeth, then insert the trays into you mouth. Make sure the trays are firmly against the front of the teeth. Be sure there is no spillover of the substance onto your gums. If there is, wipe it off, or it will irritate your gums.
-
5
Keep the whitening trays in your mouth for 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your dentist's recommendation. You can keep the trays in for four to six hours a day, twice a day, or overnight, as long as your teeth don't become too sensitive.
-
6
Brush your teeth with a soft toothbrush to remove residual gel.
-
7
Wash the trays after each individual whitening session with a soft toothbrush and cool water. Sessions are completed once you have accumulated 10 to 40 hours of total wearing time.
