How to Use Discus Dental NiteWhite for Teeth With Spots

You can whiten your teeth and remove spots while you sleep with Discus' NiteWhite ACP take-home whitening system. Unlike some home teeth whitening systems that eat away at tooth enamel, NiteWhite is formulated to repair enamel to reduce sensitivity. Consult with your dental care provider before you use NiteWhite to rule out oral health problems. Discus recommends wearing NiteWhite whitening trays four to six hours every night for one to two weeks to get optimal results.

Instructions

    • 1

Make an appointment with your dentist for a fitting of impression trays. NiteWhite trays are custom fit to each individual's dental impression to offer optimal whitening results. Your dentist will use ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) tray material, which is a soft, clear, plastic-like material, to create your trays. EVA tray materials are commonly used to create dental bleaching trays. If your dentist has a vacuum former, he can make your dental trays in his office. Otherwise, he will send your impression to a lab to fabricate your trays.

Floss your teeth to remove any trapped foods, and brush your teeth to prep them for the gel whitener application.

    • 3

Twirl the mixing tip to the right to secure the syringe's end.

    • 4

Apply a drop of gel to each tooth slot in the whitening trays. Avoid overloading the trays with too much gel to prevent gum irritation.

    • 5

Fit the trays over your teeth, and use a dry toothbrush or a cotton ball to swab any extra gel from your gums.

    • 6

Detach the mixing tip from the syringe, and put on the clear plastic cap to keep the ingredients on each side of the tube separate.

    • 7

Go to sleep, and rinse the trays with cold water when you awake. Brush away any remaining gel in the trays with a toothbrush, and store the trays in the included storage case and put them in an dry, cool place.

    • 8

Brush and rinse your teeth to remove leftover gel.
