Instructions for Using Crest Whitestrips

White teeth brighten up your face and can be one of your best features. Having a radiant smile, doesn't just look good, it also says a lot about your personal hygiene. Tobacco, trauma, lack of oral care, and dark colored foods and beverages can all cause your teeth to become discolored. Instead of spending money on expensive in-office whitening treatments, you can purchase over-the-counter Crest Whitestrips to help remove stains from your teeth.

Instructions

    • 1

Peel open the foil pouch that contains the whitening strips for your upper and lower teeth.

    • 2

Separate the whitening strip for your bottom teeth from its backing. Look in the mirror and line up the strip to your lower gum line. Apply light pressure so the peroxide-based whitening gel adheres to the front of your teeth. Fold the remainder of the strip over the back of your teeth and apply pressure to stick it in place.

    • 3

Peel the whitening strip for your upper teeth from its backing. Place the strip on your teeth so it's lined up with your upper gum line. Add light pressure so the whitening gel is in full contact with your teeth. Fold the rest of the strip over and apply pressure so it sticks to the back of your teeth.

    • 4

Wash your hands and wipe away any product from your lips or skin. Wait 30 minutes before removing the whitening strips from your teeth. Avoid wearing the strips longer than the package directions instruct, as it might cause gum discomfort or tooth sensitivity.

    • 5

Rinse your mouth with water or brush away any whitening gel left behind on your teeth. Repeat the application every day for ten days. Expect to see a difference in three day and full results in ten days.
